Praia do Patacho is on the north coast of Alagoas, in a region known as Ecological Route. The region is known for its wild beaches, almost untouched by man. There are no mega resorts, ostentatious seaside buildings or crowded beaches. This is truly a remote location with charming restaurants and bed and breakfasts.

The coral reef formations of Patacho beach are an excellent attraction. Glide through the calm and warm waters of the region's Ecological Route on a typical northern Brazilian raft boat. The coral reefs form pools of crystalline waters perfect for snorkeling and discovering the abundant sea life below. Make sure to see the turtle reserve when visiting the coral reefs
See The Manatees
Take a trip down the Tatuamunha river to see the manatees in their natural habitat, surrounded by mangroves. Manatees are an endangered species in Brazil so there is a limit of 70 visitors per day to see the manatees.
